SUMMARY:STRIDE's Great Race
DESCRIPTION:STRIDE’s Great Race\, a Level I Adaptive Race\, is a competitive event for disabled ski racers from around the Northeast. The race is designed to introduce adaptive skiers to the thrill of racing in a safe and essentially low-competitive format. Each racer is timed in two runs through a giant slalom course set on intermediate to beginner terrain\, and special awards are given to the top three finishers in each category. Divisions are open to Visually Impaired\, Blind\, 2-Track\, 3-Track\, 4-Track\, Bi-ski\, Mono Skiers and Snowboarders with special needs\, and the course is set-up to accommodate different skill levels. In addition to the races\, there will be an outdoor barbecue\, music\, and an awards ceremony. The outdoor BBQ is available for all resort guests with proceeds supporting STRIDE Adaptive Sports. They have performed all over New York & New England with a unique blend of high-energy comedy\, magic\, balloon art\, carnival games\, and lots of zany antics that amaze and delight kids of all ages. You never know what Pete and Chris will have in their bag of traveling fun when they show up to entertain. This afternoon they will start with glitter tattoos for the kids followed by an incredible bubble and balloon show. There might even be a few souvenir balloons for the kids to take home!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for some of the best men’s & women’s ski racing in the East\, as 13 Ivy League colleges come together to compete in Slalom. The races will be held on Whirlaway > Lower Ex > Ex East. These trails will be closed to the public for skiing and riding but you can catch great views of the action as you ride up the Berkshire Express\, from 9 am – 4 pm. Come out\, be amazed\, and give props to all the racers!
